Game 040: Between a Kroenke and a Hard Place

On this episode of the PineCast, Steve and Jason are sans David and attempting to podcast while following along with the NFL Owner’s Meeting to decide the fate of the St. Louis Rams and Los Angeles. Spoiler: Things do not go well.

It’s not all bad news in St. Louis. We still have the Cardinals. A team with ownership that cares for it’s fans. And a team that just added Korean closer Seung-Hwan Oh. A closer that has not one but two awesome nicknames. Stone Buddha and Final Boss. And we reveal our choice for centerfield on our All 2000s St. Louis Cardinals team. Plus NFL picks because I guess we’ll still cover that sport.

I think the worst part of the Rams move to LA is how the NFL and Kroenke (no need to use his other names as they’re associated with great people from St. Louis) handled it. Sure they said they were always open to staying in St. Louis and the commissioners office worked with the Rams to develop their stadium plan. But it never actually seemed legitimate. All along it seemed like the NFL was just stringing St. Louis around. Even up to the point where Goodell ripped the St. Louis Stadium plan for calling for an extra $100 million from the NFL. Then turning around and offering the Chargers and Raiders an extra $100 million if they stay in their markets. Rant over. On to the pick recaps.

And yes, that is a picture of garbage on fire with Kreonke’s mustache.
