NFL Picks Week Two

NFL Picks Week 2 - 2017

We kicked the 2017 pick season off with a bang by unanimously picking the New England Patriots to win the NFL opener. They of course lost handedly ensuring that the View From The Pine Unanimous Seal of Approval of DEATH! remains a near 100% guarantee.

And you better believe we’ve got some unanimous decisions this week. So run, don’t walk, to your booky and bet in the opposite direction. It’s the best investment you can make.

Dallas Cowboys @ Denver Broncos

Tim (1-3): Short week for Denver after the late night Monday doubleheader. Zeke goes for over 100 yards.

Pick: Dalla Cowboys

Steve (1-3): Going with Big D. David knows all about that am I right?

Pick Dallas Cowboys

David (1-3): Dallas beat an improved Giants defense, while Denver gave up 21 points to good ol’ P. Rivers. Ha. P Rivers. Dak and Dez will get into a rhythm that they couldn’t get into Week 1. I mean at least for my fantasy team’s sake I hope they do.

Pick: Dallas Cowboys

Jason (1-3): Because the NFL can’t suspend Ezekiel Elliot and the Broncos almost got come back on by the Chargers at home on Monday night. Unless the NFL does suspend Elliot. Then all bets are off.

Pick: Dallas Cowboys

Looks like we’ve got a View From The Pine Unanimous Seal of Approval of DEATH! Sorry Cowboy fans.

Green Bay Packers @ Atlanta Falcons

Tim (1-3): Atlanta was lucky to win last week against the Bears. This week, they will struggle against a team that’s actually good.

Pick: Green Bay Packers

Steve (1-3): Slow start last week for the Pack, but they pulled it out against the Seahawks. The Falcons looked pretty meh last week from what I saw between cleaning the shitters. There’s some kind of symbolism in there…

Pick: Green Bay Packers

David (1-3): Aaron Rodgers is going to spoil the home opener for Atlanta in their new stadium. I just have a feeling he’s going to be a jerk like that.

Pick: Green Bay Packers

Jason (1-3): I’m not sure if Green Bay’s defense is better than expected, or if Seattle’s offense is just worse than expected. Regardless no one should have expected a good day from Eddy Lacy in Green Bay. I’ll take Rodgers in a domed shootout.

Pick: Green Bay Packers

Lock of the Week

Tim (1-3): Chicago Bears @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

After last week’s game was cancelled, Tampa has to be excited to finally get their season started. They win the first game of their 16 games in a row stretch.

Pick: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Steve (1-3): San Francisco 49ers @ Seattle Seahawks

San Francisco seems pretty bad still.

Pick: Seattle Seahawks

David (1-3): New England Patriots @ New Orleans Saints

Since 2000, the Patriots have only lost 2 games in a row 7 times when Tom Brady plays. That’s Brady’s entire career of 238 games played. You can take this one to the bank.

Pick: New England Patriots

Jason (1-3): Arizona Cardinals @ Indianapolis Colts

The Colts may be the worst team in the NFL. At least until Andrew Luck gets back. And that isn’t happening in Week 2. The Cardinals will walk all over the Colts.

Pick: Arizona Cardinals

Upset of the Week

Tim (1-3): Detroit Lions @ New York Giants

Are we sure this line is right? Did the odds makers not watch the Giants-Cowboys last week? OBJ is questionable, and if Eli plays like he did last week, the fans are gonna turn on him quick.

Pick: Detroit Lions

Steve (1-3): Minnesota Vikings @ Pittsburgh Steelers

Sammy B lookin’ good.

Pick: Minnesota Vikings

David (1-3): Detroit Lions @ New York Giants

Detroit beat Arizona last week, so hey, it could happen. Stafford has to keep acting like he deserves to be the highest paid player in the league anyways.

Pick: Detroit Lions

Jason (1-3): Minnesota Vikings @ Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers won in week 1 but they only beat the Browns by 3. So is that really winning? Although Roethlisberger did become the winningest QB in Cleveland since 1999. Which is just the most Cleveland stat possible. Despite that, the Vikings looked really solid in their man-handling of the Saints. Sammy B. is back!

Pick: Minnesota Vikings
